Phl raises alert level 2 for Filipinos in Kenya

MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - The Philippines on Saturday issued alert level 2 for Filipinos in Kenya as the situation there deteriorated, The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

Under Alert Level 2, Filipinos are advised to restrict movement and avoid unnecessary travel and crowded places.

No new deployment of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) is allowed with the exception of workers in the United Nations agencies in Kenya, the DFA said.
