CEU grad tops board exam for dentists
MANILA, Philippines - A graduate of Centro Escolar University (CEU) topped the Dentist Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday.
With a grade of 84.76 percent, CEU’s Phaveena Alcaide bested the more than 800 examinees.
The PRC said 238 passed out of the 583 examinees in the written part of the test, while 245 out of 249 passed in the practical phase of the licensure examination held in Manila.
University of the Philippines graduate Jean Mitchelle Albesa placed second with a score of 83.44 percent.
Another UP graduate, Eula Ildefonso, ranked third with a score of 83.40 percent, followed by another CEU graduate, Haidee Liban, in fourth place with a score of 83.10 percent.
Fifth placer is UP’s Ramon Carlos Rodriguez, who got a score of 83.04 percent while another UP graduate, Martin Francis Jacinto, ranked sixth with a grade of 82.84 percent.
Maria Louielyn Panganiban also of UP landed in seventh place with a grade of 82.57 percent followed in eight place by University of the East’s Hannah Dizon, who got a score of 82.54 percent.
University of Baguio’s Maryam Paiest and UP’s Adrianne Peñaloza shared the ninth spot as both obtained a grade of 82.17 percent, while UP graduate Ma. Theresa Go took the 10th spot with a grade of 82.04 percent.
