Gas prices up; kerosene, diesel down

MANILA, Philippines - Oil companies yesterday adjusted pump prices for gasoline, kerosene and diesel.

Petron, Shell and Chevron raised the prices of gasoline by 30 centavos per liter.

But the three leading oil firms rolled back the prices of diesel and kerosene by 10 centavos per liter.

“The latest price adjustments reflect movements in the international oil market,” Petron, the country’s biggest refiner, said.

Petron on Monday increased the prices of liquefied petroleum gas by 15 centavos per kilogram and auto-LPG by 8 centavos per liter.

Auto-LPG prices now range from P31.53 to P33.50. An 11-kilogram LPG tank costs P690 to P809.

Gasoline prices have been on the rise for the past weeks. Diesel prices, on the other hand, have gone down.

Prior to the latest oil price adjustments, diesel prices ranged from P42 to P45 per liter.
