Delfin Lee wants to tell all at Senate

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines – Jailed Globe Asiatique (GA) president Delfin Lee wants the Senate to give him at least 15 to 20 minutes to tell the truth about his alleged involvement in a multibillion-peso housing scam.

In an interview with The STAR in his cell at the provincial jail here yesterday, Lee said he will answer all questions after he airs his side during the hearing of the Senate committee on urban planning, housing and resettlement scheduled on May 15.

“I will tell all. The people must know the truth,” he said.

Lee expressed fears that “political intervention” might prevent him from being invited to the hearing.

He said he had received reports that his co-accused in the syndicated estafa case had received notices to attend the investigation.

Lee said he hopes that Blue Ribbon committee chairman Sen. Teofisto Guingona III will be present in the hearing to help him “pursue the truth.”

Lee lamented that he has been wrongly portrayed in the media, insisting that all the controversies hounding his Xevera housing projects emanated from the Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-IBIG.
