MANILA, Philippines - Fresh accounting graduates are urged to join the Commission on Audit (COA) and become a state auditor to help fight graft and corruption.
Chairman Ma. Gracia Pulido-Tan has directed COA regional directors to go to colleges and universities and look for recruits.
She tasked COA officials to “make arrangements with universities and colleges within their regions for the conduct of campus recruitment activities.â€
Tan said regional directors or officers-in-charge themselves are enjoined to speak before graduating classes, preferably accountancy classes, to inform them of COA’s role in government.
Officials were also instructed to speak about the career opportunities available for graduating students in COA and the benefits they will receive if they become part of the its workforce.
She ordered that campus recruitment should start immediately before graduation.
A Microsoft Powerpoint presentation will be provided to help them carry out the objective, she added.
Recruits will be made to fill up forms and submit other requirements for their applications to be processed by COA’s Administration, Training, and Finance Services (ATFS) Department.
