PCG: 1,781 stranded due to 'Caloy'

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Saturday reported that at least 1,781 passengers have been stranded due to Tropical Depression Caloy.
PCG said that of the number, 1,321 were from Cebu, 209 were from Tagbilaran City, Bohol and 251 were from Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
Meanwhile, 83 rolling cargoes, 25 vessels and nine motor bancas were also affected, PCG said.
The coast guard said it is on heightened alert to responds to any incidents that may arise from the storm.
