PhlPost to launch 3 new services tomorrow

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Postal Corp. (PhlPost) is set to launch tomorrow three new innovative postal services intended to bring in more business.

PhlPost said the new services – personalized stamps, Pinoy e-mall and PhlPost mobile app for social pension pay-out – would fall under the program “Juan Click.”

Personalized stamps allow a person’s picture to be turned into a stamp. The procedure is just like taking photographs in a regular photo booth, but in this case the picture would be printed on security paper used for stamps.

The photo stamps could be used as a gift or souvenir and to mail letters.

The postal service is introducing personalized stamps to revitalize the philatelic business and make it more appealing to the public.

Pinoy e-mall, meanwhile, offers a complete e-commerce solution that allows merchants to set up and run their online store in an instant.

PhlPost would provide merchants with a complete end-to-end solution, from online selling, purchasing and payment of goods to delivery.

The PhlPost Mobile App, on the other hand, is a feature of PhlPost‘s e-door-to-door delivery service. PhlPost would also put in place its own mobile application for social pension pay-out.

This service would be piloted to serve the requirements of the Department of Social Welfare and Development beneficiaries under the Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizen Program.

The mobile app would be used by letter carriers.

The new services are expected to generate revenues without compromising PhlPost’s mandate of providing the lowest possible costs for postal services.
