Number coding suspended for holidays

Mike Frialde - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) yesterday announced that the unified vehicular volume reduction program (UVVRP) or the number coding is lifted today, tomorrow (Christmas Day) and on Dec. 30 (Rizal Day), Dec. 31, and Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day) being public holidays.

The number coding is suspended on weekends and during declared public holidays. It aims to limit the number of vehicles on Metro Manila’s roads.

Vehicles affected by the number coding may use the window hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

However, the cities of Makati and Las Piñas do not implement the window hours.
