MANILA, Philippines - Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) urged the public to report irresponsible bus drivers using its hotline previously receiving mainly reports on snobbish cabbies.

LTFRB Chairman Winston Ginez said the "Oplan Isnabero" hotline (02) 459-2129 is open to complaints on the performance and service of bus, cab, jeep and UV Express drivers.

The renewed call to report irresponsible public utility vehicle drivers was made after 18 passengers perished from a speeding Don Mariano Transit liner that turned turtle along the Skyway expressway in Parañaque on Monday.

"Kahit anong reklamo, lalo sa nakasakay sa bus, kung nakita ninyo talagang isnabero at demonyo na ang driver, tumawag kayo," Ginez said in a radio interview over DZBB Tuesday morning.

Ginez assured the public that operators of the franchises will be reprimanded.

Don Mariano Transit's entire fleet has been grounded following the incident as government mulls terminating its franchise in light of recent and past accidents of its vehicles.
