Chiz: No rule vs computer games during Senate session
MANILA, Philippines - Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero said Thursday that there are no rules yet prohibiting lawmakers to play with their gadgets while inside the Senate session hall.
Escudero said this after Senate Minority floor leader Juan Ponce Enrile was seen playing with his tablet computer to ignore Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago's verbal attacks in her privilege speech on Wednesday.

"Wala yatang parliamentary tradition o practice tungkol dyan dahil bagong imbento lang ang iPad e. Ngayon pa lamang siguro, kung saka-sakali maglalagay ng rule na bawal maglaro ng game sa loob, kung saka-sakali," Escudero said in an interview on ANC.
But Escudero said he preferred what Enrile did instead of firing back at Santiago.
"[K]aysa naman inaway pa n'ya, dinagdagan pa at pinahaba pa yung kwento at may part three pa. Tama na siguro yun," Escudero said.
The senator earlier said that it is unfortunate that the two veteran lawmakers are throwing accusations against each other in the Senate floor.
