Gov't to launch website for easier access to state information

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - The government is developing a new website where all information from different state agencies will be posted for public's easy access, a senior government official said today.

Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte said on a state-run radio that this was part of the Aquino administration's reforms and in adherence to the Open Government Partnership initiated by the United States and the United Kingdom, among others.

"We are developing what we call as data.gov.ph to place or (where) to access all the information needed," she said.

She said that once the new website is in place, people do not need to go to the agencies concerned to get the information they need.
