LPA embedded along ITCZ
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) yesterday said the low-pressure area monitored last Friday is embedded along the intertropical convergence zone across Palawan and the Visayas.
As of 5 p.m. yesterday, the low-pressure area was estimated to be at 710 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
PAGASA said the Visayas and other regions including Mindoro Oriental, Mindoro Occidental, Romblon, Palawan, CARAGA and Northern Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, the state weather bureau said.
