Pinay’s body found in suitcase in Cairo

MANILA, Philippines - A female overseas Filipino worker (OFW) was reported to have been killed in Cairo, Egypt and her body found in a large suitcase at a dump in Nasr City last week, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said yesterday.

The OFW’s death was reported to the Philippine embassy in Cairo last Aug. 17. She has not been identified.

“The corpse has blackened due to decomposition,” the DFA said.

Police in Cairo were investigating the cause of the Filipino’s death and her identity.
