(UPDATE) 3 alleged kidnappers killed in Davao

DAVAO CITY, Philippines (Xinhua) - Three kidnappers of a Filipino-Chinese trader died in today's shootout in Davao City.

Police rescued the victim identified as Sally Chua who was abducted last week.

Senior Superintendent Ronald dela Rosa, Davao City police chief, said the suspects were onboard two vehicles and even accompanied the victim as she was supposed to withdraw some P100 million ($2.325 million) at a local bank along Recto Avenue.

Dela Rosa said the police are conducting pursuit operations against the remaining suspects.
