No weather disturbance seen, but ITCZ to bring rains
MANILA, Philippines - No tropical cyclone is expected to affect the country in the next three days but rains may still persist, including in Metro Manila, due to an intertropical convergence zone, the weather bureau said yesterday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol region, the Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA said two to three cyclones are expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility this month.
A total of seven cyclones have entered the country so far this year, four of which occurred last month.
