JBC announces opening for overall deputy ombudsman
MANILA, Philippines - The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) announced the opening for application or recommendation for the position of Overall Deputy Ombudsman to replace Orlando Casimiro, who is set to retire on Aug. 23.
Submission of application or recommendation is up to July 2 at the Supreme Court. Applicants are advised to submit two complete sets of the requirements.
Previous applicants who will be applying for the post are advised to inquire with the JBC Secretariat about their lacking or out of date documentary requirements.
Casimiro was appointed Overall Deputy Ombudsman on Aug. 8, 2006 and was Acting Ombudsman in 2011.
He had been cleared of misconduct raps by the Court of Appeals last month.
Malacañang said it found no evidence to sanction Casimiro for the alleged delay in the resolution of a 15-year-old graft case against retired air force officials and low-ranking officers over the non-delivery of assorted supplies worth P89 million to the Philippine Air Force.
