Ramil Bajo, Rey Galupo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-National Capital Region (NCR) yesterday said that the bureau is still waiting for the copy of the warrant of arrest issued against 10 San Beda College of Law students allegedly involved in the death by hazing of 22-year-old law freshman Marc Andre Marcos last year.

The Dasmariñas Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 90 in Cavite ordered the arrest of Jenno Antonio Villanueva, Emmanuel Jefferson Santiago, Richard Rosales, Mohamad Fyzee Alim, Chino Daniel Amante, Julius Alcancia, Edrich Gomez, Dexter Circa, Gian Angelo Veluz, and Glenn Meduen the other day.

The 10 law students, members of the Lex Leonum Fraternitas, were accused of violating the Anti-Hazing Law.

NBI-NCR Chief Elfren Meneses said bureau agents would immediately serve the arrest warrant once they receive a copy.

Marcos succumbed to multiple injuries at the De La Salle University Medical Center in Dasmariñas, Cavite on the night of June 30, 2012 after being subjected to hazing in a farm in Sitio Bisaya in Cavite.

Cavite police director Senior Superintendent John Bulalacao said Marcos was badly injured when he was brought to hospital.

The San Beda administration could not be reached for comment yesterday.
