3 killed as blast rocks Two Serendra in Taguig

(UPDATE) MANILA, Philippines – Three persons were killed while four others were injured during an explosion at a posh condo building in Taguig City Friday night.

Reports said that casualties were on board a closed delivery van when a concrete slab fell and pinned them inside the vehicle during the blast at unit 501-B of Two Serendra in Bonifacio Global City around 8:30 p.m.

At least two more vehicles were damaged after debris rained down from the explosion, reports said.

Some of the debris fell on parked cars in front of Market! Market! mall, which is 200 meters away from the condo building.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the explosion which also damaged 10 other units in the building.

Residents have already been evacuated from their respective condo units.

President Aquino already visited the scene of the incident along with Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas.
