‘More Fun’ campaign creator gets int’l award

MANILA, Philippines - The creator of the “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” campaign bagged the top Gold Award at the recently concluded Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards held in Shanghai, China.

At the same time, BBDO Guerrero was named Network of the Year during the awards night.

While other award shows have recognized the marketing campaign for its creative achievements, BBDO Guerrero chairman and chief creative officer David Guerrero said the idea of “having more fun in the Philippines” has united the country and dramatically increased local and international tourism, and is now recognized for its effectiveness.

“This success is largely because of our clients,” Guerrero said.

“They recognized strong ideas and were prepared to back them. For that we are truly grateful,” he said.

This triumph comes after BBDO Guerrero’s recent win at the Kidlat Awards where it was named Kidlat Creative Agency of the Year and the Department of Tourism (DOT) was the Client of the Year.

BBDO Guerrero is now the most awarded agency in the country in terms of creativity and effectiveness.

Having just entered the Top 50 of the Gunn Report, the globally acknowledged authority on advertising agency creative rankings, BBDO is the first advertising agency from the Philippines to achieve the ranking and is now one of only around 200 agencies in the world to have been inducted into the “Top 50” club.

Previously, at the prestigious Spikes Asia Festival, they were voted No. 3 in the whole of the Asia Pacific region.
