CHR chief files SALN, net worth up by P.3M
MANILA, Philippines - Commission on Human Rights (CHR) chair Loretta Ann Rosales grew richer by P370,496 in 2012 from the previous year, her latest statement of assets and liabilities and net worth (SALN) submitted to the Office of the Ombudsman showed.
In her 2011 SALN, Rosales – a former party-list lawmaker of Akbayan – owned a 2005 Toyota Innova worth P710,000 and household items worth P500,000.
She also declared a P1-million account with the Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loan Association Inc. (AFPSLAI), another account with Metrobank worth P30,137.31; and with BPI, P49,784.
In her 2012 SALN filed last April 3, Rosales listed the same personal and other properties but declared an increase in her Metrobank bank account to P86,090.44 and in her BPI bank account to P80,115.
She also added a new entry called ALFM peso account worth P284,211.50. This accounts for a big chunk of the increase in her total net worth.
Both her 2011 and 2012 SALNS declared partial and whole ownership of six real properties in Tagaytay, Pangasinan, and Cubao in Quezon City valued collectively at P777,112.50 based on current fair market value.
Rosales, appointed CHR chair in September 2010 replacing now Justice Secretary Leila De Lima, listed no liabilities or business interests, or relatives working in government.
President Aquino, who also submitted his 2012 SALN to the Ombudsman last month, reported a net worth of P65,128,604 or just P1,600 lower than the previous year’s figure. This was explained by the sale of his 2005 Ford Everest at a lower price because of its depreciated value.
