Mitos thanks Lakas for endorsement

MANILA, Philippines - United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) senatorial candidate Mitos Magsaysay thanked her former partymates from Lakas-CMD for endorsing her senatorial bid along with five others.

“Their confidence means a great deal to me as I have worked with them for the longest time in pushing reforms for the country through legislation in Congress, as well as initiating development programs in our respective jurisdictions,” Magsaysay said.

“I have a very high respect for the people in the Lakas party and I am thankful for their recognition of my efforts and my track record with this endorsement. Hopefully, I will be able to further live up to their expectations,” she added.

Lakas-CMD also endorsed UNA candidates San Juan Rep. JV Ejercito, Cagayan Rep. Jack Enrile, re-electionist Sen. Gringo Honasan and Team PNoy bets Aurora Rep. Sonny Angara and Grace Poe.

In a statement, Lakas-CMD said their endorsement was based on the candidates’ competence as “congressional leaders and championing people’s interests, especially in showing sympathy and extending assistance” to constituents of districts who have been hit by natural disasters.
