CBCP holds 7-hour daily vigil

MANILA, Philippines - Coinciding with the start of the conclave, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) yesterday began a seven-hour daily vigil that would last until a new pope is elected.

YouthPinoy, an organization under the CBCP-Episcopal Commission on Youth, initiated the vigil that would start at 5 p.m. until midnight at the Archdiocese of Manila in Intramuros.

Major religious organizations, faith communities, youth movements, campus ministries in dioceses under the National Capital Region and churches in nearby areas have been invited to join the prayer watch.
