Gringo: Stop talking about accomplishments

Mitchelle Palaybsanon/Freeman - The Philippine Star

CEBU CITY, Philippines  â€“ Sen. Gringo Honasan dared other senatorial candidates to show what they have done for the Filipino people and not just talk about their accomplishments.

Honasan, who never won in Cebu since he became senator, urged Cebuanos to look at his track record and decide for themselves.

Honasan, who was with Cebuano Sen. Tito Sotto in a press conference here the other night, said that he has crafted laws that give Filipino children better health, education, happiness, and a safer place so that the moment they become productive, these children will be competitive with the rest of the world.

Honasan said that he remains an independent despite being part of the opposition United Nationalist Alliance senatorial ticket.

“We want to have an independent Senate that is not dependent upon the dictates of the executive department,” he said.
