Jamby hopeful of entering Magic 12

MANILA, Philippines - Former senator Jamby Madrigal yesterday said she is optimistic of entering the Magic 12 in the surveys on voter preference for the May elections.

Madrigal, who is running under the administration’s Team PNoy coalition, made the statement after her ranking in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey improved from 17 to 14.

She was one of the three administration candidates who did not make it to the top 12. The other two were former senator Ramon Magsaysay Jr. and former Akbayan Rep. Risa Hontiveros.

Madrigal said she expects her standing to improve once the voters hear her accomplishments as a senator from 2004 to 2010.
