MANILA, Philippines - A youth group will stage a mock poll in the University Belt area in Manila on Thursday to get the young people's preference for a candidate in the coming May 13 mid-term elections.
Iskolar Institute for Youth and Development Services Inc., a youth-based non-government organization, said on Wednesday that it will launch the mock election from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at polling centers in Nicanor Reyes Street near the Far Eastern University, S. H. Loyola near the University of the East, Legarda Avenue corner Mendiola, and F. Dalupan St. near the University of Manila.
Dubbed "Pulso ng Kabataan: The 2013 Mock Election Project," the group said the project seeks to give a glimpse on the youth's choice in the upcoming 2013 election.
The group, which has been active in campaigns that advance the sector's interests and welfare, said it is targetting to get 2,000 participants in the mock election.
