Diesel, kerosene prices up by 40 centavos per liter

MANILA, Philippines - Petron Corp. will raise prices of petroleum products today, a week after implementing the first price movements for gasoline and diesel this year.

The country’s largest oil refining and marketing company announced yesterday that diesel and kerosene prices will go up by 40 centavos per liter effective 6 a.m. today.

A rollback of 15 centavos per liter in diesel and kerosene prices was implemented last week.

Petron said a 40-centavo price rollback in Blaze 100, XCS and Xtra unleaded gasoline products and a rollback of 15 centavos per liter for Pinoy gasoline will be implemented.

“This reflects movements in the international market,” the oil refiner said yesterday.

Seaoil announced an increase of 25 centavos per liter in the prices of diesel products and 40 centavos per liter hike for kerosene effective 6 a.m. today.

It will cut the prices of premium and unleaded gasoline products by 40 centavos per liter and regular gasoline by 15 centavos per liter.

As of press time yesterday, other petroleum players have yet to announce similar adjustments.
