Instagram posts allegedly from Bieber earn ire of Pinoys

MANILA, Philippines - A series of Instagram posts supposedly from Canadian pop singer Justine Bieber triggered the ire of Manny Pacquiao’s fans online.

Bieber’s Instagram posts came in right after Pacquiao was knocked out in the fourth match against Mexican slugger Juan Manuel Marquez last Sunday.

On his first post, a photo showed American boxing legend Floyd Mayweather knocking down Marquez during their bout in 2009. Its caption read, “Look what Mayweather did to Marquez.. #moneyteam #nocompetition.”

The word war, however, did not begin until one follower, lovedrunk04, commented, “please don’t make this about Mayweather now. He is totally out of the picture.”

This was followed by comments divided between Marquez’s fans and some of Mayweather’s before a barrage of messages from Filipino fans began pouring in.

“Sad because I’m a Pacquaio (sic) fan and a beliber #torn,” @Olivia_Donaldson said. @Chungrei even pointed out in all caps, “Manny Pacquiao almost died last night.”

The two succeeding posts further provoked the boxing champ’s fans when Bieber had Pacquiao’s prone knocked-out figure inserted in a Michael Jackson picture, “Pacquiao doing the lean with MJ... Classic moment” and another with Disney character Simba looking over saying, “Dad wake up.”

Unfazed by critics and haters, Bieber, an avid Mayweather fan, stood firm and went on defending the five-division world champion instead: “He has nothing to gain fighting pacqiao (sic), Floyd has never in his professional career lost a fight and Pacqiao (sic) lost his last two fights. If Floyd wins its not that big of a deal Cuz it would be his third loss in a row, and lf he loses he’s gonna ruin his legacy either way there’s no big win for Mayweather... Mayweather is boxing.”

“If they were beliebers (sic) I know they wouldn’t leave my side over an Boxing opinion I have,” Bieber added.

Bieber posted his remarks in response to reactions to his previous posts. He picked two comments and made a screenshot.

The first one from cuddlybeeaarr17 said, “He don’t want to fight with pacquiao. Scaredy pants” while the one from sarahggee said, “JB I hope you feel proud cause you just lost your fans who like MANNY PACQUIAO but even though you like Mayweather posting this pics are just LOW even for a girl like you.”
