Salvage operations underway for Chinese vessel

MANILA, Philippines - Salvage operations are underway for a grounded Chinese Navy ship at the South China Sea.

Local media practitioners asked the Chinese Embassy in Manila to confirm the news of a grounded Chinese Navy vessel at the Scarborough Shoal.

According to the information released by the Ministry of National Defense of China, at around 7 p.m. last July 11, a frigate of Chinese Navy ran aground accidentally at the shoal during a routine patrol mission, with no personnel injured.

Currently, the rescue work by the Chinese Navy is underway.
