Erap offers help to Dolphy's family
MANILA, Philippines - Former President Joseph Estrada has offered his help to Philippine movies’ King of Comedy, Rodolfo “Dolphy” Quizon and his family.
“I visited him in the hospital on Friday last week. I can’t take looking at him in bed with a tube on his neck. I’m used to seeing him jolly and strong,” Estrada said.
He said he will offer another Mass for Dolphy’s fast recovery.
“I told Zsa Zsa (Padilla, Dolphy’s partner) to just let me know whatever help I can extend and I will be there,” Estrada said.
Dolphy, 83, was last reported to be showing significant improvement. His doctors said he is now more responsive.
Eric Nubla, head of the patient relations office of the Makati Medical Center, said Dolphy appeared to be ticklish, which he considered a good sign.
Nubla said Dolphy is also sensitive to pain.
