2 Lotto winners claim P39 M and P10 M jackpot
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Charity Sweeptstakes Office (PCSO) reported yesterday that a 65-year-old retired worker from Karuhatan, Valenzuela City won the P39-million jackpot of the 6/49 Super Lotto online lottery draw while a 59-year-old house painter from Angeles City won the P10-million prize for the 6/45 Mega Lotto over the weekend.
Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, PCSO general manager, said the retiree picked the winning number combination 6-9-11-18-23-29 for 6/49 Super Lotto last Sunday and won the P39,943,044 jackpot.
The painter got the winning combination 43-26-21-27-9-11 for the 6/45 Mega Lotto draw last Saturday and won P10,488,378.
The retired worker, who has three children, plans to renovate his old house and also buy new houses for each of his three children, and use the remaining fund to set up a trust fund.
The painter plans to buy a house and lot and give P1 million each to his four children.
Both winners picked the winning combinations from the birthdays of family members.
A player from Grace Park in Caloocan City won the P142,859,048.40 jackpot of the 6/55 Grand Lotto draw last Wednesday.
Rojas said the still unidentified player, who bought the winning ticket at the lotto outlet in Grace Park, got the combination 9-1-6-40-16-35.
The two new winners are the 85th and 86th members of the so-called lotto millionaires club so far this year.
The PCSO had paid P1,803,522,466.50 to 82 jackpot winners who won the jackpot ranging from P3 million to P341 million since January this year.
