MANILA, Philippines - Teen pop star Justin Bieber is the latest celebrity to team up with non-government organization People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) in its campaign for pet adoption.
“It’s really important that people adopt,” Bieber was quoted in the ad campaign. “I really encourage going out to an animal shelter or a place where you can get a dog who has been abandoned or doesn’t have a home.”
Bieber will be in Manila on May 10 for his “My Word Tour Concert.”
Other celebrities that have collaborated with PETA include Lea Michelle, Kellan Lutz, Pink, Maggie Q as well as local celebrities Yasmien Kurdi and Borgy Manotoc.
PETA is the largest animal rights organization in the world, with more than two million members and supporters.
