Group lauds Noy for prioritizing RH bill

MANILA, Philippines –  The Philippine Legislators Committee on Population and Development Foundation Inc. (PLCPD) has lauded the Aquino administration for “holding on to the principles of responsible parenthood.”

During a recent meeting with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), the committee said they are happy that the Palace has remained steadfast in its position to support reproductive health despite strong lobby from the influential anti-reproductive health force.

PLCPD executive director Ramon San Pascual said the Palace and the CBCP have agreed on the importance of free and informed choice in the family program.

San Pascual noted the group is also elated that Malacañang has committed to make the reproductive health bill a priority legislation.

“This is already a clear indication that President Aquino will walk his talk as far as the RP/RH bill is concerned,” he said.
