MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) reported yesterday that nobody won the more than P311-million jackpot prize of the 6/55 Grand Lotto draw last Wednesday and the next draw on Saturday would be even bigger.
Liza Gabuyo, PCSO assistant general manager for online lottery, said the jackpot prize in the Grand Lotto game tomorrow night is projected to hit P321 million.
Gabuyo said no one won the P311,938,542 jackpot in the last Grand Lotto draw with the winning combination of 43-20-05-37-13-06.
The PCSO said more bettors are expected to place their bets as the jackpot gets bigger.
The estimated P321-million projected jackpot for the Grand Lotto draw this weekend is the second highest prize ever in all lotto games of the PCSO, next to the P347 million that was shared by two winners in the Super Lotto draw in February 2009.
The 6/55 Grand Lotto replaced the Power Lotto last April in a bid to address increased requests for medical assistance from indigent patients.
The new game uses a single panel betting system just like previous lotto games, and bettors can choose six numbers in any order from 1 to 55.
The Grand Lotto draw is held three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
