Oil firms hike pump prices anew

MANILA, Philippines – Oil companies have again raised the pump prices of their products.

Petron Corp., Chevron Philippines, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Phoenix Philippines, Total Philippines, Seaoil Philippines increased their gasoline products by 25 centavos per liter.

They also jacked up the price of their diesel by 50 centavos per liter.

Aside from Seaoil which will implement its price hike today, the other oil firms carried out their price adjustments yesterday.

The recent oil price increases, the oil firms said, were triggered by the rise in prices of international petroleum products.

On Sept. 7, the petroleum players implemented a 50-centavo hike on pump prices.
