Where are they voting?

MANILA, Philippines - The country holds its first fully automated general elections today, with about 50 million Filipinos expected to pick a new president, vice president and officials to fill nearly 18,000 national and local posts.

Among them are nine candidates seeking the highest office in the land.

Liberal Party standard-bearer Sen. Benigno Aquino III will vote this morning at Precinct 1758 Central Azucarera Elementary School in Sitio Alto Barangay Central in San Miguel, Tarlac.

Nacionalista Party standard-bearer Sen. Manuel Villar will vote at 10 this morning at STI, Abel Nosce St. BF Resort Village, Talon 2 in Las Piñas. Meanwhile, Pwersa ng Masa standard-bearer former President Joseph Estrada will vote between 7 to 10 a.m. today at Pedro Cruz Elementary School in San Juan.

Administration bet Gilberto Teodoro will vote at Precinct 0025-A Carabaoan Elementary School in Mayantoc, Tarlac.

Bagumbayan presidential bet Sen. Richard Gordon will vote today at 10 a.m. at the Tapinac Elementary School in Olongapo city. Bangon Pilipinas Party presidential bet Bro. Eddie Villanueva will vote this morning at precinct number 121 A, Bunlo Elementary School in Bunlo, Bocaue.

Independent candidates JC de los Reyes will vote at Nelie Brown Elementary School in West Bajac 1-A Olongapo City and Nicanor Perlas will vote together with his son Chris this morning at precinct 445 at the University of Asia and the Pacific Pearl Drive, Barangay San Antonio, Pasig.

Sen. Ana Consuelo Madrigal will vote at St. Paul’s College in Quezon City but will hear Mass first at 11:30 a.m. in Sto. Domingo.

President Arroyo, meanwhile, will vote in her town in Lubao, Pampanga this morning.

Mrs. Arroyo, who is seeking a congressional seat in Lubao is expected to attend an early morning Mass at the San Agustin Church in Lubao before casting her vote. - Christina Mendez, Evelyn Macairan, Mike Frialde
