Super Lotto jackpot reaches P70 million
MANILA, Philippines - The jackpot prize of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) 6/49 Super Lotto game is expected to rise to P70 million in today’s draw after nobody won the winning number combinations in the past weeks, PCSO spokesman Larry Cedro said yesterday.
Cedro said the prize of the Super Lotto for today’s draw is expected to reach P72 million and would continue to increase in the next draws if no one hits the lucky combination.
“We are expecting the jackpot to again breach the P100 million mark in the succeeding draws,” he said.
Cedro said this would be the second time this year that the jackpot prize of the online lottery game will breach P100 million since the biggest prize of P347 million was won by two winners from Caloocan and Pasig cities.
A 50-year-old woman from Caloocan has claimed her P173 million share. The winner from Pasig, on the other hand, has yet to claim his or her prize.
“As of yesterday the winner from Pasig has not showed up to claim the prize,” Cedro said.
The PCSO has advised winners to take care of their tickets and make sure that it does not get wet or folded as the tickets are made from thermal paper.
“Thermal paper is very sensitive so it must be treated with extra care to ensure that it is not rejected by the computer,” Cedro said. - Perseus Echeminada
