273 pass dietitians exam

MANILA, Philippines – A graduate from the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) topped this year’s licensure test in Nutrition-Dietitian administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last July.

Frederich Christian Sia Tan of UST topped the examination with a rating of 85.10 percent.

The PRC announced that 273 out of 523 examinees passed the test.

Other topnotchers are Mahalia Reyles Diaz of University of the Philippines (UP)-Los Baños, with a rating of 84.75 percent; Enrico Noriega Cembrano of UST, 84.65; Manelie Victoria Cruz, UST, 84.10; Jason Lozada Almario, UP-Diliman, and Venus Perpetua Peralta Laforteza of UST, 83.40;

Kristia Maria Katrina Mabana Soreta of UP-Los Baños and Maria Carmela Cuaresma Taob of UP-Diliman, 83.35; Leah Leong Espiritu, UST, 83.30; Herminio Dejoras Manalastas, UP-Diliman, 83.10; Riza Faith de Luna Barcebal of University of Southern Mindanao-Kabacan, and Laarni Gecolea Yu, UP-Los Baños, 83.05; and Mary Grace Mercado Eugenio, UP-Diliman, and Ronnie Baylon Samonte, UP-Los Baños, 83.

PRC cited five schools for having 10 or more examinees “with exemplary performance” in the July licensure test.

These are UP-Los Baños, UP-Diliman, and Central Mindanao University which all posted 100-percent passing rate, and UST and Centro Escolar University-Manila which registered passing rates of 94 and 73 percent, respectively.  Sheila Crisostomo
