Kiko to Jocjoc: Come back and tell truth about fertilizer scam
MANILA, Philippines – Senate Majority Leader Francis Pangilinan urged former Department of Agriculture undersecretary Jocelyn “Jocjoc” Bolante to stop hallucinating about assassination threats against him and face accusations about the P728-million fertilizer scam.
Pangilinan described as “ridiculous” the claim of Bolante that assassins are out to kill him as he fights deportation proceedings in the United States.
“Ridiculous. He probably thinks he is still in the Philippines wherein, unfortunately for us, he has gotten away with lying and stealing. He should be deported immediately to face the music here,” Pangilinan said.
“That’s the trouble with those engaged in suppressing the truth. They can no longer tell the difference between the truth and lies and having said one too many, they think they can always get away with lies wherever they may be. He should get real and come clean. The truth, in the end, will set him free,” he said.
Bolante, dubbed as architect of the fertilizer scam, claimed that he and his family are being threatened and that his return would lead to certain death.
