Catholics celebrate  ‘Feast of Three Kings’

Today, the “Feast of the Three Kings,” Christendom remembers that Jesus Christ, who was born in a manger, was also a king.

Caloocan City Bishop Deogracias  Iniguez yesterday said in a radio interview that the Feast of the Three Kings is considered an important celebration in the Catholic Church.

“The celebration of the Epiphany is not just a feast but a solemnity,” he said.

He said a feast refers to an important celebration such as the regular Sunday Masses, but “solemnity, that is the highest (form of celebration).”

“This is the feast of feasts. Actually, it’s a celebration of our Lord but giving emphasis on his proclamation as King,” he said. – Evelyn Macairan
