-

Close to 400 positions, including executive and managerial levels in various government offices and agencies are currently vacant, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) recently announced.

CSC Chairwoman Karina Constantino-David disclosed that there are 382 vacant positions in 44 government offices and agencies, including government-owned and controlled corporations and the government financial institutions.

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. lists the most number of vacancies at 88, followed by the Commission on Elections with 40, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources with 24, and the Bureau of Local Government Finance with 23.

David said there are 372 vacant posts that include executive or managerial positions such as undersecretary, assistant secretary, bureau director and regional director.

In some of the positions available, David noted that the annual salaries could range from P700,000 to P1.7 million.

The list of vacancies can be viewed at the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph or at the Phil-JobNet website of the Department of Labor and Employment http://phil-jobnet.dole.gov.ph.

David noted that the announcement of the vacancies was made in compliance with CSC Resolution No. 070630 which requires all government vacancies in the third level to be published on a regular basis.

She explained that the publication is meant to ensure that the information on vacancies could attract potential applicants.    – Marvin Sy
