GMA to open Asean meet

President Arroyo will be the keynote speaker at the formal opening of the 40th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM) today, where landmark documents, including the first draft of the ASEAN charter, will be hammered out.

Mrs. Arroyo is expected to highlight the significance of the theme of the 40th AMM, “One Caring and Sharing Community,” which was first adopted at the 12th ASEAN Summit held in Cebu last January. – Paolo Romero
