Pamatong’s back, seeks expulsion of 2 KBL senatorial bets for being ‘DPAs’

-
Aside from shifting allegiances, the country’s electorate may have to deal with another election season reality: disguised party loyalties.

Lawyer Elly Pamatong sought yesterday the expulsion of senatorial candidates Oliver Lozano and Joselito "Peter" Cayetano from the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan for being "deep penetration agents (DPAs)" of Malacañang from which they allegedly received millions to destroy the Senate bid of opposition Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano. KBL was the party of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos.

Pamatong, himself a KBL member, said Lozano’s and Cayetano’s alleged hatchet job for the Arroyo administration may be worth more than P50 million.

Pamatong said KBL president Vicente Millora and secretary general Antonio Tupaz should call a national party convention to review the qualifications and possibly the loyalties of the two senatorial candidates.

"This kind of ultra-sycophantic commitment can only be made by a corrupt person who must have been paid a handsome amount, say P50 million – to do a Machiavellian demolition job," Pamatong said of Lozano.

"Lozano did it for GMA (Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo) twice in the past, and he is doing it again with impunity but at the expense of the innocent members and officers of the KBL as well as the Marcoses," he added.

Pamatong, who calls himself an inter-faith minister of Mankind’s Interfaith International Ministry, said he decided to come out in the open after hearing Lozano speak on television about his determination to block future attempts to impeach Mrs. Arroyo "regardless of merit."

He appealed to the Marcoses to disown Lozano’s statement which "will destroy everything that they stand, live, and fight for."

He also decried the stand of the late dictator’s widow against impeaching Mrs. Arroyo and called it "an act of desecration of the memory of Ferdinand Marcos who has been adjudged to be the greatest president the Philippines ever had."

The last time Pamatong was in the news was when he admitted spreading metal spikes on major streets in Metro Manila reportedly to dramatize his protest against corruption under Mrs. Arroyo.
