For most people in the Bicol region that was devastated by super typhoon "Reming" in November last year, the process of rebuilding their lives has been slow and difficult.
Three months after the calamity, many of them continue to live in an evacuation camp or in a relatives home. Everyday, they continue to struggle where to find food to feed their children and themselves after losing their livelihood to Reming.
In a commitment to help these residents rebuild their lives, The STARs Operation Damayan will conduct another relief rehabilitation mission in affected areas of Bicol this February.
Damayan volunteers will distribute relief goods as well as provide pang-kabuhayan packages to Reming victims.
Damayan will also conduct a relief operation in Balud, Masbate that was ravaged by typhoon "Seniang" in December.
Generous readers who would like to share their blessings may send in their donations to Operation Damayan. Please call 527-7901 to 10 and look for any of the following coordinators: Emie Cruz, Melita Dioso or Myra Sabalboro.
