3 Pinoys abducted in Nigeria

LAGOS (AFP) Three Filipino oil workers were abducted in southern Nigeria Friday, a day after a German national was kidnapped, an oil industry source said.
"We learned that three expatriate oil workers from the Philippines were taken hostage this morning around Port Harcourt by unknown armed men," a senior official of a major oil company told AFP on condition of anonymity.
The police could not immediately confirm the incident, coming a day after a German oil worker was abducted.
"We are trying to verify the incident," Rivers State police spokeswoman Barasua Ireju said.
