Roxas tops Pulse Asia survey

Sen. Manuel Roxas II received the highest approval rating among 23 senators in a recent survey released by Pulse Asia.
Roxas garnered a 72 percent approval rating, down two points from his previous rating of 74 percent taken by the Pulse Asia from Oct. 22 to Nov. 6 last year.
Senators Juan Flavier, Francisco Pangilinan and Miriam Defensor-Santiago garnered respective ratings of 64, 62 and 61 percent.
Neophyte Senators Alfredo Lim and Jamby Madrigal tied at sixth place at 58 percent, followed by Senators Bong Revilla, Pia Cayetano and Aquilino Pimentel Jr. at 57 percent. They were followed by Senators Manuel Villar Jr. (53 percent) and Juan Ponce Enrile at 51 percent. Senators Rodolfo Biazon, Ralph Recto and Ramon Magsaysay Jr. were all tied at 50 percent from the Pulse Asia survey conducted March 3 to 16 culled from 2,400 respondents.
In the same survey, Senators Lito Lapid, Panfilo Lacson and Jinggoy Estrada, along with Santiago and Revilla enjoyed a 100 percent "awareness" rating.
Lacson and Estrada garnered 48 percent approval ratings during the same period.
Sen. Loi Ejercito got a 99 percent awareness rating but only had a 46 percent approval rating. Lapid, Revilla and Estrada are former actors and were elected local officials before being elected as members of the Senate. Christina Mendez
