Houseboy nabbed for killing HK employers

-
A fugitive male Filipino domestic helper who allegedly murdered his Hong Kong employers and stuffed their corpses in a closet has been arrested in the northern Philippines, the local branch of the Interpol said yesterday.

Magno Cruz Manalili, 34, is to be extradited to Hong Kong to stand trial for the April 12, 2003 killings of his employers, Ng Ka-mong and his wife Sun King-man, according to the Philippine Center on Transnational Crime.

The suspect, a native of Arayat town north of Manila, was tracked down a week ago in the northern resort town of Paoay after a four-month police surveillance conducted by the Manila branch of the International Police Organization, the agency said in a statement.

Hong Kong police allege that Manalili murdered his employers, hid their corpses in a bedroom closet of their home in Shatin, Hong Kong, and fled to the Philippines. The bodies were found three days later.

Manalili told police he was angered by the couple’s plan to fire him and their refusal to lend him money. AFP
