It’s 40 days to the May 10 presidential elections.
The television evangelist said the next 40 days would be a "tough period" for officials and volunteers of his Bangon Pilipinas party.
"That is natural for candidates who abide by election rules," he said in an interview.
Villanueva said his blueprint for victory can be compared to the marketing strategy of a medium-scale company in selling its products.
"A large-scale company, which would symbolize the Goliaths of this election, would spend millions to advertise its products," he said.
"But this company would only accumulate P2.4 billion in annual earnings."
Villanueva said he would use the "house-to-house strategy" of a medium-scale company that makes an average sale of P12 billion a year.
"You see, the company did not spend millions for advertisements, and yet it earned more than the bigger company," he said.
Villanueva said his political advertisements on television cost less than those placed by the other presidential candidates.
"It was paid for by my supporters," he said.
Villanueva said he has not been doing well in surveys because he started campaigning much later than his four rivals.
"We only began with our campaign on Feb. 11, as required by law," he said. "Others have been campaigning since last year."
However, Villanueva said he is now gaining ground, slowly winning the support of more people and sectors because of his intensive nationwide campaign.
Villanueva said thousands of supporters have attended his rallies in the provinces, particularly the massive "Josiah army" in gatherings in the cities of Cebu and Cabanatuan.
He will depend on four groups to get him 14 million votes, Villanueva added.
Meanwhile, officials of Bangon Pilipinas said they would go on sorties in provinces which Villanueva could no longer reach because of time constraints.
Earlier, Bangon Pilipinas launched the Bangon Kababaihan and Bangon Kabataan movements to convince women and the youth to vote for Villanueva.
Next to be launched are Bangon Artista and Bangon Hustisya.
