GMA assured of victory in Palawan

The top local executives of Puerto Princesa City in Palawan and Bukidnon province have promised to deliver the votes from their localities and bring President Arroyo that much closer to victory.
Puerto Princesa City Mayor Edward Hagedorn has promised the President and the entire Koalisyon ng Karanasan at Katapatan para sa Kinabukasan (K-4) ticket a "landslide victory" in Palawan come election day.
Hagedorn declared his full support for the President during an ambush interview inside the Puerto Princesa Coliseum.
"We will support the President and the entire K-4 ticket," Hagedorn said just minutes before the President arrived for the K-4 political rally attended by thousands of Palaweños.
Hagedorn said all the local government officials of his province, from the municipal mayors to the barangay councilmen, as well as residents, are all rallying behind Mrs. Arroyos bid for a full, six-year term in the coming elections.
He added that helping the President win a fresh mandate in the elections is the only way the people of Palawan could show their gratitude for the assistance she has provided towards the provinces progress.
In Malaybalay City in Bukidnon Gov. Jose Ma. Zubiri promised to deliver the votes of his province to the President come May 10.
Zubiri guaranteed 300,000 of the 450,000 potential votes to be cast by registered voters in Bukidnon to the President and the entire K-4 slate.
Speaking before an audience of 5,000 packed into the grounds of the provincial capitolfor the Kaamulan Festival, Zubiri said only the President can turn Bukidnon and Mindanao into the land its people only dream of.
The President arrived in Bukidnon after launching the "Kalsada Natin, Alagaan Natin" program at the Mindanao Polytechnic State College gymnasium in Cagayan de Oro City.
She was welcomed by a horde of Bukidnon natives from different tribes that participated in the Kaamulan Festival, a native celebration of thanksgiving for bountiful harvests. With Bong Fabe
