Shell raises prices today

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. announced yesterday it will raise its prices effective today.
"Shell will implement a price hike in its products as follows: gasoline by 80 centavos per liter, diesel by 50 centavos per liter and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by 90 centavos per kilogram effective 12:01am (Jan 11)," Shell external affairs general manager Roberto Kanapi said.
Kanapi said this price adjustment is a result of the high prices crude oil and petroleum products, including LPG, in the world market.
But Kanapi assured that Shell will continue to assist the transport sector, including bus operators, by extending price discounts for diesel in selected Shell service stations.
