807 pass physician licensure exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 807 out of 1415 passed the Physician (Complete, Finals, Finals with Prelims and Prelims) Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine in Manila and Cebu, this February 2003.

The members of the Board of Medicine who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Juanito B. Billote, Chairman; Dr. Jose S. Ramirez, Dr. Edgardo T. Fernando and Dr. Ricardo D. Fulgencio II, Members.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Thursday, February 27, 2003 but not later than March 7, 2003. Those who will register are required to bring the following: latest Community Tax Certificate; 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and nametag), 1 piece 1x1 picture, metered documentary stamps worth P45, and 1 piece long clear envelope; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P400 and Annual Registration Fee of P300 for 2003-2006. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The results were released two (2) days after the last day of examination.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Sunday, March 16, 2003 at 1:00 in the afternoon at the Fiesta Pavillion, Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila.

Registration for membership with the Philippine Medical Association Association (PMA) will take place after registration as a Professional with the Board and the Commission.
